Two year olds will learn basic classroom routines, rules, and continue to develop social skills, begin (or continue) toilet training (progress is recorded on a daily sheet for parents). The two’s will enjoy a variety of learning experiences that will encourage them to develop a sense of self-awareness and practice skills required to deal with challenges, as they learn about their rapidly changing environment. We provide activities that encourage them to play with other children in small groups, this will give them the ability to learn to play with other children, share ideas, and accomplish activities as a group. We also believe it is important for them to play independently, in order to teach them to express individual ideas and to accomplish age appropriate tasks by themselves. Our two year olds curriculum includes circle time (color, letter, and number recognition, days of the week, month, and weather), age appropriate educational toys, arts & crafts, exercise, games, songs, small & gross motor skill activities, all combined to provide the perfect atmosphere for growing minds and bodies.
