Our Maple Tree Room provides intellectual stimulation for the four year olds. They will continue to master the concepts of learning, in an exciting, fun, educational and active way, with our curriculum. Our methods provide firsthand experiences with people, places and things. Daily indoor/outdoor exercises help to keep children physically active and fit, while they can make use of their large and small muscles. We instruct the children in basic reading and writing skills. We daily encourage the fours to choose books from the classroom book shelves to read for their story time. Computers are in the classroom, for their use, to help ensure that our children are familiar with modern technology. We provide many opportunities for the children to explore their creativity and imagination through dramatic play and arts & crafts. Science activities are built into our curriculum, where children can do their own observation and hands on activities. Music is explored daily with activities such as rhythm, song, dance, use of instruments, and rhymes.
